Heatherly Cottage

You will be assured of a warm welcome by Peter and Jenny at 17th Century Heatherly Cottage, situated in a quiet lane approximately nine miles from Bath. Close to the National Trust village of Lacock where several films have been made. We have a large garden where you are more than welcome to relax (weather permitting) and chat to our two friendly Shetland ponies, We have beautiful views across open countryside and plenty of off-road parking.

The guests’ accommodation is a separate wing of the house with its own entrance. There are several places to eat nearby, the nearest a 10 minute walk.

We have one ground floor twin/kingsize and two first floor double rooms (one with queensize bed) all rooms are en-suite with bath and/or shower. Bedrooms have hairdryers, tea/coffee trays, colour television, clock radio, irons and ironing boards and bedroom fans are provided during the summer months.

We serve a full English breakfast made with local produce when possible and free-range eggs from our hens, or Continental with croissants and assorted range of homemade preserves.

Penguin room
Spacious twin-bedded ground floor room (ideal for those who do not wish to climb the stairs). Beds can be made up as one kingsize if required. Original old beams and fireplace. Large ensuite bathroom with bath, walk in shower and a separate toilet.

Gate room
This room is dual aspect with windows overlooking open fields and countryside.
It has a queensize bed and a large ensuite bathroom with walk in shower. This room also has a separate small room with an extra bed – ideal for a child up to the age of 13.

Lemon room
Standard size double bed with views over open countryside and the garden. Ensuite bathroom with bath and shower over.

Dining Room
Breakfast is served in our attractive dual aspect dining room, overlooking the garden. We always use local produce when possible. Eggs are from our own free range hens.

Off M4 at Junction 17 Take the A350 towards Chippenham Follow A350 towards Warminster Then follow A4 towards Bath After about 1 mile from where you get onto the A4 turn left at Cross Keys Pub and traffic lights into Corsham Straight over 2 mini roundabouts turn left at the 3rd After about 100 metres turn right onto B3353 (sign to Gastard and Melksham) After about 1 mile turn left into Ladbrook Lane (our B & B sign is on left) Heatherly Cottage is 1st house on the right
