2008 Q1 and Q2 set new visitor records
We are delighted to say that The Bed and Breakfast Guide has smashed all previous visitor records in both quarter 1 and quarter 2 in 2008. Now in it's 8th successful year, The Guide has seen strong growth in excess of 200%.
The Self Catering Guide launched
Beach Hut Studio, the team behind The Bed and Breakfast Guide, has launched a new holiday and travel directory website called The Self Catering Guide. Building on the success of the B&B site, this new site targets those looking for accommodation ranging from cottages and farmhouses to apartments. The fully searchable directory provides pictures and feature listings and already has over 1,000 self catering accommodations across the UK listed. 2007 visitor traffic highest ever
We are delighted to announced that 2007 saw the highest numbers of visitors to The Bed and Breakfast Guide - and it was a staggering 35% up on 2006. Thanks to all our supporting B&B's and let us hope, with our continue expansion plans, for even greater things in 2008.
Melton Mowbray to Hinckley and Leicester to Market Harborough have now been added to The Bed and Breakfast directory in Leicestershire plus 20 other towns.
Cleveland added to The Bed and Breakfast Guide (Jan 2008)
We are please to announce the inclusion of Cleveland on The Bed and Breakfast Guide. Previously overlooked, Cleveland and a number Cleveland towns (including Middlesbrough and Redcar) have now been added.
The updating of The Guides B&B counties continues with the relaunch of West Midlands, Derbyshire, Lancashire and Northamptonshire county pages. Under each of these counties has been added 75 towns to further increase The Guide's presence on the major search engines.
We are pleased to announce the redevelopment of the Carmarthenshire pages on The Bed and Breakfast Guide. The update has introduced new towns from across the Carmarthenshire including Camarthen, Llandeilo, Llandovery, Llanelli and Whitland. If you own a B&B in Carmarthernshire there is no better time to join The Guide asyou are ensured a good position on the page.
New towns in Cumbria (August 2007)
The Cumbria directory pages have now been updated to 37 towns across the county. As you would expect all the major Lake District towns are included such as Windermere, Coniston, Grassmere, Keswick, Hawkshead and Ullswater. It also covers major towns such as Carlisle and Egremont.
In a busy few weeks we have been able to improve the pages of 5 counties across the UK as we continue to roll out the new style. Wiltshire now has over 20 towns including Devizes, Melksham, Warminster and Wooton Basset.
Bedfordshire now has over 15 towns including Luton, Leighton Buzzard, Dunstable and Woburn. While Buckinghamshire has 20 towns from Buckingham to Wendover and Beaconsfield to Newport Pagnell.
Essex has been updated to over 30 towns now including Waltham Abbey, Billericay and Epping to add to the original town pages of Clacton, Colchester, Brentwood and Romford.
Finally Northumberland has been updated to include Hexham, Morpeth, Alnwick and Berwick.
June and July 2007 breaks site visitor record (August 2007)
We are delighted to say that the growth in visitors to site continues to set record highs month after month. June and then July continued the trend with the highest visitor numbers ever achieved.
New towns in Powys
The Powys pages on The Bed and Breakfast Guide have been updated to now feature 25 different towns in the County. You will now find B&B searches on towns from Brecon and Builth Wells to Llandrindod Wells and Rhayader.

Please note that The Bed and Breakfast Guide will be closed due to holidays until the 17th August. All orders received in this time will be processed on our return. Your annual fee period does not start until your page goes live in the directory.

May 2007 breaks site visitor record (June 2007)
The Bed and Breakfast Guide had its highest ever number of monthly visitors in May 2007. Visitor traffic has risen consistently over the last 5 years, but this May was over 15% higher than the same time in 2006. The Guide continues to go from strength to strength.
New towns in Warwickshire (June 2007)
The Warwickshire pages on The Bed and Breakfast Guide have now been updated to include 21 towns from Warwick, Nuneaton and Stratford-upon-Avon to Rugby, Leamington Spa and Lapworth and lots more.
New towns in Norfolk (June 2007)
The Norfolk pages on The Bed and Breakfast Guide have now been extended to 18. Adding to the city of Norwich there is now Great Yarmouth, Cromer, Sheringham,Swaffam, Thetford and many more.
The Herefordshire pages on The Bed and Breakfast Guide have now been extended to 18. Worcester, Kidderminster, Redditch and Droitwich are among those added to the existing pages including Hereford and Leominster.
New towns in Hampshire (May 2007)
The Hampshire directory has been updated to include 35 towns including the bigger towns of Southampton, Portsmouth and Winchester as well as smaller towns such as Fareham, Petersfield, Romsey and Farnborough.
New towns added to Cambridgeshire (May 2007)
The Cambridgeshire directory has been updated to include 30 towns including the bigger towns of Peterborough, Cambridge and Newmarket as well as smaller towns such as Wisbech, Huntingdon, Ely and Duxford.
New towns added to East Sussex (February 2007)
The East Sussex directory includes 34 towns from Alfriston to Wadhurst and Peacehaven to Rye.
New towns added to Lincolnshire (27th Dec 2007)
The Lincolnshire directory now consists of 20 towns covering Cleethorpes to Skegness and Grantham to Mablethorpe.
New towns added to Gloucestershire (5th Dec 2007)
The Gloucestershire directory pages have now been updated to now include over 35 towns. There is also a new Family Days Out in Gloucestershire page.

The Devon pages have been updated and now include 45 Somerset towns on The Bed and Breakfast Guide. There is also a new Family Days Out in Somerset page.

Directory listing now include e-mail and web address (Oct 2006)

New towns added to Cornwall and Dorset (Oct 2006)
With the roll out of the new look pages to Cornwall and Dorset a number of new search towns have been added to the Guide. There are now 29 towns listed in Cornwall and and 29 in Dorset. There is also a new Family Days Out in Cornwall and a Family Days Out in Dorset page.
New look for the directory unveiled (Oct 2006)
As The Guide enters its 5 consecutive year (growing every year) a new design has been introduced for both the directory and featured B&B pages. The new look aims to make it even easier for customers to find a B&B and improve performance on the major search engines. The new look is appearing first on the home and Cornwall pages. Over the coming months the new look will be rolled out on other counties and towns.
Guide grows for 4th consecutive year (May 2006)
As The Bed and Breakfast Guide enters its 5th consecutive year, it is able to confirm that year 4 was the biggest year yet for visitors, hits and bookings. With over 1,000,000 hits a year, over 100,000 unique visitors, The Guide is well placed to expand further during 2006/7.
