If you are looking for a good base to explore all that Dorset has to offer, then Tricketts Lane Lodgings at Ferndown is ideal.  Ferndown is perfectly situated for trips in to the popular coastal towns of Bournemouth and Poole as well as being very close to the New Forest.

A favourite family holiday destination, Bournemouth has lots to see and do.  A glorious sandy beach is ideal for a spot of relaxation or if you prefer something more active head to Boscombe beach where you will find surfing and bodyboarding  on Europe’s only man made surf reef – find out more about surf hire and surf lessons in Bournemouth.  In the town you can shop to your heart’s content or head for some relaxation in the park.  There are plenty of places to eat in the town and there is also a cinema and theatre in the town.  Take a trip to Compton Acres to see one of the finest gardens in the south of England.

Close by is Poole, famed for its fishing harbour and pottery.  If you want to get a glimpse of some of the most expensive real estate in the World take a quick drive around Sandbanks, the bay is the perfect place to learn watersports including windsurfing.

The New Forest is a living and working place where ponies and cattle freely graze the land and help to keep the patchwork of different habitats intact. Deeper in the forest, wild deer browse beneath canopies of mighty oak and beech – natural scenes unchanged by the modern world.  It is a must on any trip to Dorset.

Tricketts Lane is a self-contained bed and breakfast annex with private external entrance and includes your very own lounge / diner (or second bedroom for the kids). The accommodation includes full SKY TV coverage, Free Wifi, DVD library, private access with own key and off street parking.
