If you are looking for a good holiday or short break base within easy reach of London’s attractions, Heathrow, Gatwick and the south coast then Purley in Surrey fits the bill perfectly.

Just 35 minutes from Gatwick Airport and 1 hour from Heathrow Airport, Purley in Surrey is also located half an hour from London by train where all the tourist attractions are waiting for you including Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Tower Bridge, London Eye, Hampton Court Palace and more. The pretty town of Lymington in Hampshire is the perfect base for trips to Isle of Wight and for those looking to explore the New Forest National Park.

A busy south coast harbour town, Lymington is famous for its sailing and has hosted many of the big sailing regattas.  For those looking to explore the Isle of Wight there is a car ferry that runs between Lymington and Yarmouth.  Lymington is only a short drive from the New Forest which attracts some 14 million visitors a year to explore the 220 square miles of rural land with its pony’s roaming freely.

Besides the quayside area, Lymington old town is full of quaint cobbled streets, Victorian and Georgian Houses and is a pleasant place to wander. The town has a good rane of shops and pubs.

Farnham in Surrey will surprise you! Although it is just an hours drive from London, once you turn in to Farnham you are entering a different world. It is an old English market town with narrow streets lined with some of the finest Georgian architecture in the South East of England with a parish church and castle dating back to the 12th Century.

Farnham has a host of attractions for visitors, and its historic character combines with the best of modern facilities.

With a wealth of tempting opportunities for escaping to the countryside, shopping, eating out, sightseeing, visiting galleries or just sitting in gardens and flower filled yards soaking up the enchanting atmosphere.

If you spend some time walking around the town, especially near the parish church, St Andrews, and the small streets off the main shopping streets, you will find some beautiful buildings with great character.
