The family room has Spike, a cute little fluffy dog who can’t wait to be hugged by any ‘little people’, we can also provide a cot and highchair. All rooms have hairdryer, alarm clock, TV and CD stereos so pack your favourite music! You will find all you need from the range of beverages on your hospitality tray, I will provide wine glasses and a cooler for your wine! |

Avondale Guest House is situated on the South side of the city, a few hundred metres from the ancient city walls. The 7 minute walk to the City Centre and attractions passes restaurants, shops, and wonderful views of the City from Skeldergate Bridge.
From the South
From the A1(M) join the A64 leaving to join the A1036 York(West). Carry straight on, passing the racecourse on the right, as you reach the top of the hill go through the lights. At the next set of lights, turn right into Scarcroft Road, when you reach the end, turn right at the lights and Avondale House is just a few yards up the hill on the right.
From the North
A1 onto A59, follow straight ahead through the suburbs until you see the Iron Bridge, cross the bridge and turn right immediately after you have crossed. Follow the road round staying to the left at the lights, turn left and then move over to the furthest right hand lane to turn right into Scarcroft Road, when you reach the end, turn right at the lights and Avondale House is just a few yards up the hill on the right.
