If speed is more your style visit the world famous Goodwood Motor Circuit - all within a 10 - 15 minute drive.
Beautiful Arundel is 5 miles away with its Castle, Cathedral and unique shops.
Historic Parham House & gardens are just a walk away and the Roman town of Chichester with its theatres, markets and cathedral is just 15 minutes away by car.
The pretty market towns of Petworth, Midhurst & Storrington are all nearby. Petworth boasts the magnificent Petworth House and Park (designed by Capability Brown) as well as many antique shops. Midhurst hosts Gold Cup Polo and offers a range of independant shops and boutiques.
Amberley Working Museum is a short walk away, or why not spend the afternoon on a cruise of the Arun river, or fishing at nearby Chalk Springs Trout Fishery?
The Sportsman Inn is an award winning freehouse with a history that dates to at least 1706. We offer a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere in which you can enjoy our superb local ales, fine wines and locally sourced, homemade food - from pub favourites to gourmet meals. All while you enjoy the stunning views of Amberley Wildbrooks and the Southdowns.
Our 5 en-suite rooms are all individually decorated and have views across the Wilbrooks towards Pulborough RSPB Nature reserve or of the Southdowns.Perfect for bird watchers & nature lovers! All rooms have TV, tea/coffee making facilities and power showers. Breakfast is served in our conservatory restaurant and you can choose from a hearty full english (with locally produced sausages, award winning black pudding & local free-range eggs) or a selection of contenental dishes.
