Rutland added to the B&B directory

April 20th, 2009

We are pleased to say that The Bed and Breakfast Guide has now added B&B search pages for Rutland including the towns of Manton, Oakham and Uppingham.  Rutland is a beautiful part of the UK and well worth a visit and there is no better way to explore the area than by staying at a great quality B&B.

Rutland is the latest county to be added to The Bed and Breakfast Guide as we continue to improve the quality of our B&B listings across the UK.

Argyll in Scotland added to the B&B Guide

January 18th, 2009

The Bed and Breakfast Guide has extended its coverage in Scotland by including the beautiful county of Argyll in its B&B and Guest House directory.

Currently there is only B&B listed, but it is a very special one - Hafton Castle at Dunoon. A stunning Grade 2 listed castle set in beautiful mature gardens overlooking Holy Loch. Steeped in history and surrounded by beautiful views of the loch.

The town of Dunoon is situated just across the Firth of Clyde from Greenock & Glasgow and close to the Isle of Bute, on the west coast of Scotland.   The local attractions in the area include the Castle House Museum and the Dunoon Heritage Centre.

B&B directory sets visitor record in 2008

January 17th, 2009

We are delighted to announce that The Bed and Breakfast Guide, a  UK directory of B&B and guest house accommodation, broke all of its previous visitor records - with 2008 visitor numbers finishing up over 200% on 2007.

It is also good to note that 2009 has started in a similarly successful fashion with the early visitor numbers being up on 2008.

The Bed and Breakfast Guide is in its 9th successful year and in each of the previous 8 the Guide has grown substantially.  Although the credit crunch may impact this year, initial figures would suggest that it may actually encourage an even better year as travellers choose to stay closer to home rather than travel abroad.
